The Seawing Gorilla is virtually identical to the open heel Seawing Nova fin, but in the SEAWING NOVA GORILLA, Scubapro uses a special additive in its mix to provide more stiffness and snap to the blade. This provides more power and better control for divers who like a stiffer fin with more "feedback". The stiffer blade also allows for a more efficient sculling, frog kick and back kick, making it a good choice for technical divers.

SEAWING NOVA GORILLA gives you all the design innovations and technological advances you find in Seawing Nova, but with a stiffer blade. With its proprietary G4 (4th Generation) articulated hinge that allows the entire winged blade to rotate and generate thrust, the SEAWING NOVA GORILLA produces a propulsive snap that can shoot you through open water at top speed, but where it's really good is in low-speed maneuvering where it provides excellent control for small directional adjustments.

SEAWING NOVA GORILLA has a well-designed footplate with molded Grip Pads that provide a non-slip foothold on slippery boat decks or diving ladders. It also features the popular self-adjusting heel strap made from marine grade bungee. This bungee is very elastic and therefore resistant. The soft heel pad with oversized finger loop is comfortable and makes the fin easy to put on and take off.

SEAWING NOVA GORILLA combines classic SCUBAPRO fin technology with the latest innovations in hydrodynamic design, then adds a touch of stiffness to the blade to help serious divers who often find themselves in demanding conditions.

Technical features

The foot pocket's ergonomic toe box is ultra-comfortable, while the Power Plate footplate extends all the way to the back of the heel, maximizing power transfer while minimizing leg and ankle stress.

Co-molded Thermo Plastic Vulcanizate (TPV) heel pad and rough surface midsole pad provide excellent non-slip grip on wet surfaces. The TPV is very tear-resistant and durable.

Revised blade geometry: lateral stiffness has been slightly increased to improve alternative kicks and to improve responsiveness and thrust at full power.
